Popsicle Fruit Twister
While I wish that I could pack these natural sweet treats into the kids lunch boxes, I’ll happily settle with just keeping our freezer stocked full of them when I can.
Not only are they gluten free, but they’re a great way to use fruit and fruit juice in a delicious way that provides refreshingly real flavors. Forget about buying popsicles at the store that are loaded with high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors or flavors, and other GMO ingredients. Make your own fruit popsicles Greek yogurt recipe at home.
How long does it take for popsicles to freeze?
Once you have the fruit filled in the popsicle molds, it will take 6-8 hours for the popsicles to freeze completely all the way. You do not want to try and remove them before this time as it will likely break apart and melt very quickly as well.

How to Make Strawberry Fruit Popsicles
Anyone who is a fan of Outshine frozen fruit bars is going to love these naturally sweet popsicles. The recipe isn’t hard to do at all, and the results will make everyone think that they’re enjoying an Outshine strawberry popscile that was purchased at the store. Be sure to check out the recipe at the bottom of the post for the exact measurements and steps.
1. Blend – Add the frozen fruit, and all the ingredients into a blender or food processor. Blend until everything is mixed well. The coloring should turn a dark red or purple.
2. Add to the popsicle molds – Once the mixture is blended, pour it into the molds. You can gently press it down into the molds using the back of a spoon and then scrape off any excess so that it’s flat. Add popsicle sticks into the mixture.
3. Freeze – Put the popsicle molds in the freezer for up to 8 hours.
Natural Fruit Popsicle Nutrition
Not only do these popsicles made with real fruit taste amazing, but they’re a good source of vitamin C as well. Vitamins depend on what fruits you choose of course but using fresh or frozen berries means that it is in tact without any heat required.
Can I use dried fruit to make popsicles?
I don’t recommend using anything other than fresh fruit, or frozen fruit, so that the fruits blend well and chop up well with the blender. Dried fruit isn’t going to chop up completely, and will little little bits of fruit in the popsicles. Of course, if that is what you are going for texture-wise, then adding that might be a good idea.
How Much Does it Cost to Make Homemade Fruit Bars?
Fruit bar popsicles are one snack recipe that you can make for birthday parties, sleepovers, or just have on hand for hangouts with the kids. They cost less than .50 each even with fresh fruit in there which is much cheaper than organic packages choices out there in the store.
Can I add fruit juice to this popsicle recipe?
You do have to be careful not to add too much juice to the popsicle mixture, but a little bit can be a great way to add citrus flavor and more vitamins. Adding a tad bit of orange juice to the blender is a good idea! Pineapple juice can be a great addition as well.
What can you add to fruit popsicles?
Since this fruit bar popsicle recipe is really quite versatile, you can easily change or add new ingredients. One of my other favorite combinations is to add some frozen or fresh banana and chocolate chips to the mixture – making it a sweet and creamy treat.
Think finger foods and things with sticks that can be grabbed and walked around with. Especially if you are having a party with guests they will want to socialize and not worry about sitting down to slice anything.
Another fun heartier pick up and go “meal” or snack you can make are our Crazy Puffs Recipe made in muffin tins!! Have your kids help you make both of these to get in on the action.
